One of The pinoreer writers of her time for the culture is outstanding literature none the less. She wrote The color Purple to inform a baseline of how black women have always loved each other even through the harsh realities they’ve experienced and had to live through starting from the plantation. This is yet another ignorant post on the internet that deprives us from the deeper meanings of why our people do the things they’ve done. Alice Walker have also stated that at one point in mother hood she was sadden by being a mother because her daughter gave her so much hell and felt restricted and unfree to be creative. If anything you could have just stated she’s a feminist. No matter the man she has chosen her strong beliefs in the roles of women is the more important message 😌

My formative years provided me with firsthand experiences that mirrored the themes explored in "The Color Purple." I anticipate that some may comment on my marital status, yet this will not alter the authenticity of my upbringing. I encountered individuals who embodied the diverse characters depicted in the narrative of this book, such as Harpo, Ms. Celie, Ms. Sophia, Mister, Shug Avery, Paw, Squeak, Buster, and all the other cast members. I love black men with a powerful intensity and it hasn't changed becuz i found love with a white man. It's just that I discovered love in an unexpected circumstance with an equally unexpected individual.
