Today is vesak poya day☸🔽 1 In Japan, engineers have developed special flooring systems that can convert human footsteps into electricity using a technology called piezoelectric generation. The process begins when a person steps onto a piezoelectric tile, which contains materials that generate an electric charge when pressure or vibration is applied. Every time someone walks across the surface, the mechanical energy from their body weight is transferred into the tiles. This pressure is then converted into a small electrical current, which can be collected and stored in batteries or used immediately to power nearby devices. For example, the electricity produced can light up LED lamps, run display screens, or support sensors in smart buildings. The more people that walk across the floor, the greater the energy produced, which makes the system especially effective in crowded places such as train stations, airports, and shopping centers. In Tokyo's Shibuya Station, for instance, these tiles have been tested to harness the energy from thousands of daily commuters, turning ordinary foot traffic into a renewable power source. Although each footstep produces only a tiny amount of electricity, the combined effect of millions of steps contributes to sustainable energy use and showcases Japan's innovation in eco-friendly technology #japaninovation #smartenergy #piezoelectric #viral FOLLOW@successmindset342
