They do not take long and add a lot of value towards having an outstanding profile. 🔊Languages: This is important because many hosts will not let you apply unless you meet a minimum requirement of a certain language. In many instances that will be fluent or intermediate English or perhaps beginner Spanish depending on where you are going. 👏🏼Skills: Add everything you have ever put your hands on but be fair with your self rating. Are you good at it, are you a newbie. Let the know in advance so the hosts knows circa what to expect. 🎬Social media: This is optional. You may not want to share yours, but they can be a good way to give the host a bit of your personality at at glance. 🎥Video: This you should not skip. I mean you can but I always recommend doing one. It doesn’t have to be long. Just say hi, your name, age, background, interests and why you love to travel or hope to gain. That way your host know you are real, the get a sense of your language skills and an overall vibe. And it looks like you put in effort too. Easy earned points really. ✈️Travel motivation & interests: It is literally a drop down list with a maximum. Takes no time. 💁🏼‍♀️Background/about me: Write everything you can find relevant about your education, work and travel experience. It is an easy read for the hosts to know your motivations and what chapter you are at in your life. It ensures they choose you because they believe you are a good fit for the project! ➕Additional information: So for example I am vegetarian and that is the only thing that’s on there for me, but I feel like it is nice to know in case I forget to mention it in the application for a project where food is included. 🌇Pictures: Finally add some pictures that reflect you. So maybe you love the ocean like me, or you’re really good with pets, at arts and crafts or surfing.
