@tricksinthekitchen: Trick of the Day Dates! Dates are kept in the fridge, and as a result, they can become slightly dry and hard over time, depending on how long you’ve had them. However, the beauty of dates is their ability to sit in the fridge for an extended period. The challenge is finding a way to use them without damaging your food processor or other equipment. I have just the trick for you: use a bowl and place all your dried dates in it. Submerge them in hot boiling water, cover, and leave them for about five minutes or longer. They will start to soften. Since I only needed the dates to soften and not the liquid, I discarded about 75% of the liquid and kept just 25% with the dates before blending them. I used these softened dates to make my protein peanut butter balls. I must say, from now on, I’ll always use this method for the dates because they were softer, allowing me to incorporate more of them throughout the entire mixture. #KitchenHacks101 #CulinaryShortcuts #CookingTipsAndTricks #EffortlessCooking #SmartKitchenHacks #QuickKitchenFixes #KitchenWisdom #MasteringTheKitchen #BrilliantKitchenTips #SavvyCookingSkills #tricksinthekitchen #datesfruit
