Good Morning Ysera's Army, Today is an incredibly difficult and tragic day for all of us. Our beloved girl, Ysera, passed away at 12:30 PM on 1/20/25. In her final days, she faced significant health challenges, and it became clear that her neurodegenerative disease had progressed rapidly. She had an appointment for her heart ultrasound that same day, which I even moved up to 12:15 PM. However, when I approached her, I sensed something was truly off. I immediately took her to emergency care, but sadly, she stopped breathing on the way. I had an instinct that Ysera had passed before we arrived at the vet. I kissed her on the head and entrusted her to the vets, who began CPR, but she had passed away. It all happened so fast—in just 30 minutes from when I left my house to when she was pronounced dead. Her heart simply wasn't strong enough. I was with her in her final moments, and I hope she felt my presence by her side. We are heartbroken to share this news with you. Ysera was a brave, strong, and special soul who brought love, joy, and smiles to so many. Ysera, honored as 2024 America's Favorite Pet, brightened our days with her soft and loud meows, adorable bleps, beautiful eyes, and boundless love. She loved this world and her family, and I know she cherished her Army. Ysera always protected us from nightmares and has now joined the eternal slumber of our other beloved pets. I’m sure she is having fun, playing, and running around us in spirit form. Just know that in those final moments, Ysera was still very much herself. She fought until her last breath, still meowing and playfully battling with me. She absolutely knew how many people loved and cared for her—those incredible individuals who built this community and stood by us through it all. We are profoundly grateful for all the love and support you've shown her and us, and I’m sure she feels the same gratitude. Ysera was the sweetest little girl, entrusting me with her care. Every moment we spent together—during exercises, grooming, or feeding—she would gaze at me with her magical, trusting eyes, perky ears, and beautiful snoot. Those memories will forever be etched in my heart. In closing, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you. Thank you for being here, for your love, and for everything you’ve done. Ysera taught us that regardless of the challenges a pet may face, they still deserve our love, care, and happiness. When we first adopt a pet, they look to us for their care and well-being. It’s our responsibility to ensure they are taken care of for their entire lives, no matter how long or short that may be. Please don’t abandon your pets; they depend on you to be their world, and without you, they have no one else. They truly deserve it. I may share a video or go live on TikTok to connect with our community and grieve together, but for now, everything is uncertain as we navigate through this emotional time. We will need some time to heal from this loss, as it's too difficult to think about anything else at the moment. With love, Charlie (Ysera's dad), Sophie (Ysera's mom), Simba, Azshara, and Banshee and from Above Ysera ❤️🌈 P.S. I felt I couldn’t grieve without making one last video of Ysera and informing you all. #ysera #yseratok #kitten #cute #specialcat #catsoftiktok #kitty #goodmorningysera #catsofinstagram #catsoffacebook #ndd #neurodegenerativedisease #yserasarmy
