I listen to audiobooks alone at 1.5-2x speed. If I’m reading alone as well I can go as high as like 3.5-4x speed 😅😂

I’m 42 and I’ve done this for the last 5 years. I can’t read without being distracted and can’t listen only without the same, so doing both is a great hack

I do this too. I think it's because I always watch tv with the subtitles, so I can't really "hear" without simultaneously reading

it's called dual coding and it's great to process the story and vocab fully 🥰 I recommend it to my students to help with their literacy!
