Can’t understand this, then I have to buy the same book on kindle and audible. It’s giving smashed avacado vibes. $$$

As a millennial, I’ve done the audio/read combo with books that require my full attention.

I listen to audiobooks alone at 1.5-2x speed. If I’m reading alone as well I can go as high as like 3.5-4x speed 😅😂

I’m 42 and I’ve done this for the last 5 years. I can’t read without being distracted and can’t listen only without the same, so doing both is a great hack

Wait, I need to try this. I normally have to have two things going on to be able to focus.

this is how I was trained to compensate for ADHD/Dyslexia because I have both reading and audio processing issues. helps catch issues faster

I do this too. I think it's because I always watch tv with the subtitles, so I can't really "hear" without simultaneously reading

it's called dual coding and it's great to process the story and vocab fully 🥰 I recommend it to my students to help with their literacy!

It’s the perfect way to help kids both learn and build confidence to read a chapter book. It connects visual learning with auditory learning.

I do it, it's like when your a kid in the library at reading time having someone read to you while you read. it's immersive
