its based off ph level, but your lips' ph range is 5.5-5.6, which is mildly on the more acidic side. a lot of factors can effect your ph based off-

You should make the top lip cold and leave the bottom lip regular and apply it to both to see if there’s a color difference ❤️

it's not a different color for everyone. the ph of humans lips is 7 -7.5. I looks different on everydue due to the color of you natural lips.
