“Do you find there are many clashes between Chinese culture and Islam? And how do you balance the two?” I actually find more similarities than conflicts. I think a lot of the conflicts we see come from prejudice, or simply from not understanding something deeply enough. The more I learned about both Chinese culture and Islam, the more similarities I found, especially when it comes to family, respecting elders, kindness, harmony in society, righteousness, and self-growth.
