@sokoskitchen: WILD BLUEBERRY CAKE DONUTS—a recipe inspired by a wild blueberry donut I experienced in Maine this past fall that is now my roman empire 😫🫐 it was served warm with a vanilla glaze & it was so unbelievably good—I had to recreate🫶 A recipe that was also brought about by the post Christmas blues 🙃 Proof again that baking is always the cure!! Recipe - Preheat your oven to 400F. - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 & 1/4 cup of all purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon. - In another mixing bowl, whisk together 4 tbsp of melted butter, 1 egg, 1/3 cup of buttermilk (regular milk or heavy cream will work as well), 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, and 2 tbsp of maple syrup. - Then, mix 1/2 cup of wild blueberries into the dry mixture. - Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined (be careful not to overmix!) - Spoon the batter into a greased donut pan (will make about 6 donuts) - Bake on 400F for 8-10 minutes. - While they’re baking, whisk together the glaze—3/4 cup of powdered sugar and 3 tbsp of whole milk. - Let the donuts cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes and then dip in the glaze and devour 😋 #feedfeed #feedfeedbaking #homemadedonuts #bakingrecipes #wildblueberries
