YdidI_comeback :
my kiddo struggles to regulate emotions and lashes out at us sometimes. My husband briefly thought about sending him to a facility to seek mental health help out of desperation but i said HELL NO this is a major portion of why i refuse to ever let him go to any place to get mental health help without me being right there with him. He is my step son but i would risk my life to take down any place that abused my child. i cant fathom the disgust i feel for places that say they are going to help your child deal with their mental health and piling layers of trauma on them in the name of mental health treatment

As a parent, I couldn’t imagine sending my kid to a place like that. So sorry you had to endure that.

I’m so sorry you experienced this. Sent there by your own parents? Terrible regardless. Glad you’re speaking out to help the people that come after you. You’re inspiring! 👏🙏🏻💖

Здравствуйте. Мне хотелось бы услышать конкретные имена сотрудников, если вы можете их открыть. Я хотела бы сделать доклады в своем институте о проблеме TTI так как я являюсь студентом педагогом и хочу придать этому вопросу видимость

My question is have you ever forgiven your parents? Are they still a part of your life?

Misty :
Misty Woods was a pivotal figure in the fight to hold Straight, Inc. accountable in Orlando during the late 1980s and early 1990s. By bravely coming forward to share her personal experiences as a victim on WESH 2 news and providing direct testimony to the Florida Department of HRS, Misty Woods helped break the cycle of silence that protected the controversial drug rehabilitation program. Her willingness to go on the record provided the essential human evidence of abuse and unlawful restraint that state investigators needed to finally deny the facility's operating license. Although Misty Woods did not receive a financial settlement for her public service, her courage was the key factor that led to the permanent closure of the Orlando location, ensuring that no other children would have to endure the same treatment.

Remember the onion bagels? And being forced to take meds and show your cheeks? And shaking out our bed sheets on the floor mattress every night and showering with the door open?
