@paleochef: New Solo Eat Play Crush Podcast: Asking 2024 what her resolutions are for me. 😂 This year was filled with some epic professional wins (receiving my championship ring, being written about in Arnold’s book, launching the podcast, and other dope achievements) but the year also gutted me personally, leaving me rather raw with a lifetime of challenges and traumas shoved into 6 tumultuous months leading up to a major decision which I will tell you more about soon. I’m not the same person going into the new year and it is up to me to determine if that is for better, for worse, or for the absolute best. I want to say thank you to everyone who has shown their support for my work and my well-being from my online buddies (you) to my IRL chosen fam. Before I jump back into the kitchen to close out the final prep of 2023, I’m bringing back my 3 question prompt below with my personal replies. In 2024: 1. What do you want to stop doing? Delaying joy, delaying grief, and everything in between. I pride myself in looking at things through a logical lens which has massive power in truly crucial situations but this last year has given me too much to logic through without causing more harm. 2. What do you want to start doing? Getting very specific. The art of uncertainty has gotten me pretty far in life and given me a richness of experience, skills, and opportunity. But in 2024, I want to tighten up and push some deliberate buttons. 3. What do you want to continue doing? I started simplifying a few months ago and while I’ve made good progress, I am about to make even more and I want to continue that trend with material and non-material things: energy, commitments, relationships, etc. To bring it back to the first question, only retain what is necessary and what brings me joy. And with that, I wish you a happy new year. If 2023 was good for you, I hope it continues and you find ways to pay those blessings forward. If 2023 sucked for you, you were not alone in that and I pray the time ahead brings meaning to your challenges. I am doing both over here. xoM
