I am electrician and a well made tutorial. Tightening the screws by hand works best for me. I would tape the screws after to prevent contact w/ground

Two things that you have that not everyone has . 1. Long wires to work with. 2. Deep enough box to accept the deeper new recessed outlet

This is great and opens up more possibilities. Once you learn these basics, you can start swapping out light fixtures, etc. always cut your power!

It’s important to check both receptacles on the outlet, some have the top and bottom connections split and could still be energized on one side.
