I was astonished to realize that many students /practitioners didn’t use the clean stand properly. Don’t forget to take advantage of the reservoir and fill up the latter with NAOCL before placing a sterile gauze or sponge. A good way to contribute to infection control! Cleaning and disinfecting the flutes are two different things. I recommend anyone to read all the comments which have led to a stormy / interesting discussion/disagreement between different clinicians about possible NiTi corrosion. Speaking of which, feel free not to fill up the reservoir with Naocl if you are anxious about possible NiTi corrosion which might occur during prolonged/repeated immersion (especially if you don’t follow a single use protocol).
