[4] Although not mentioned as a note above, Hume's pseudo-statement here that new knowledge is sensory comes from his "matters of fact." Properly put, these oppose his "relations of ideas" ("fancy claptrap") that may well be knowledge, but are not new nor have any necessary connection to reality.
