@jadewarshaw: The moral of the story is DONT borrow money. And Especially don’t borrow money with someone who isn’t your spouse. That’s a trap. With two names on a debt it doesn't matter what the two of you swore to each other over candlelight. When daylight hits and ol boy or ol girl splits, if they don’t pay their portion, you are still on the hook for the debt. And YOU are the one the debt collectors will come after the strongest because you have already given them money, so they know you actually have some. In the new year, draw a line in the sand. Just contact the bank, say you have your half, or, that you need to split the debt as you're no longer together....all it means is you're gonna need him to go in and sign for it etc
