I have my dog on a harness and a dog collar because then I get two leads one goes around my waist and the other I have in my hand just in case anything were to happen because my dog isn’t even a year

Have both GR and pit bull. Both are ❤️. GR were not bread to attack rather be gentle w/ mouth to not damage the bird vs fight to death. Any can snap

I have my dog on a harness only when in the woods/lake so I can pick him up by the handle on the back (he's roughly 45 lbs) if something is happening

I always hated harness, but it depends where the lead is connected on the harness. My dog gets more power off her collar than the harness set up I use
