I've made onigiri with jasmine rice!! just remember to wash the rice.. 1 c rice to 1 1/2 c water ratio bring it to a boil, lower the heat to simmer and forget about it for 20minutes perfectly sticky!!

She put stuff in the rice to make it more sticky. I say try it next time. I think it was some kind of oil and something else.🤔

when we do musubi we do white rice (other rices might work too) with some Seasoned Rice Vinegar mixed in which makes it sticky once it's cooled some!
