I also dont think its fair that some kids have to take out loans becuase their parents make too much but then dont help- and other kids get free

It is! If they choose to have the child, they should have a plan for paying to educate them

Mine told me student loans or military. I chose the ladder. Best decision of my life and now have a free masters degree because of the military

No. You’re a full grown adult it’s your choice to go to college. There are lots of jobs and careers out there that do not need a college education.

But while they don't have to pay for it, any financial aid get calculated by their income. The student doesn't havent control over that, so I think more parents should feel more responsibility for it

My parents would not let me go away to college so I didn’t have a lot of loans. Did like it then. Love it now.

I set the expectation that college is not something I’m helping with unless it’s an affordable option. We’re not going into debt for a fancy school.

Parents dont owe their kids college. If they can pay, great- but parents may not have the money. We are paying for our kids- we have 3 in college now

Personally, I won’t pay for my kids college. There’s plenty of options, get scholarships, chose a job that doesn’t need a degree, do 4 years in the military..
