I also dont think its fair that some kids have to take out loans becuase their parents make too much but then dont help- and other kids get free

No. You’re a full grown adult it’s your choice to go to college. There are lots of jobs and careers out there that do not need a college education.

But while they don't have to pay for it, any financial aid get calculated by their income. The student doesn't havent control over that, so I think more parents should feel more responsibility for it

my parents were great parents but I never realized we were lower middle class until I started filling out college applications. after high school I went to work and took 1 or 2 classes at a time...

I set the expectation that college is not something I’m helping with unless it’s an affordable option. We’re not going into debt for a fancy school.

we didn't do college funds for our kids but my husband just finished his 20yr in the military, gave them 12 months of gi bill and in wi and TX if you retire after the military after 20yr & resident...

Personally, I won’t pay for my kids college. There’s plenty of options, get scholarships, chose a job that doesn’t need a degree, do 4 years in the military..
