@asilver8670: Why I think it pays to dry your own corn and how a CMC bin dries corn. And yes i know the wetter the corn the more it shrinks. #corn #agriculture #drycorn #farmtok #fyp #cmc #grainbin #farmer #farmingtiktok #farm

Pretty sure shrink is about weight more than volume dry corn is less dense than wet corn pays to store to get paid for carry and harvest without delay

one point difference in moisture between top and bottom??? I have a hard time believing that you won't over dry the bottom by alot more than that

Do you wait till the bin is full before you start the fans? Also would possibly having some stir augers help dry it faster? I’ve never seen 1 like this

It shrinks in wet weight and little bit of size. Real shrink is 1.2% elevator is usually 1.5%

We air dry 1/2million bushels from 20-22 to 15 every year. Each bin we will put even wetter corn in the bottom, so far the bottom doesn’t get over dry

We air dry roughly 115,000 bushel in multiple bins. Only way to go. Sure more management but a little knowledge and experience can pay big.
