@broadlandscapes: By far the hardest task I have ever carried out I terms of detail. The clients have to access a sump pump fairly regularly to clear our silt etc as they are below water table and the drainage to the road backs up so they have had copies amounts of flooding. As they are a little older lifting recessed trays especially with this 40mm stone would be too heavy for them to manage so I came up with this solution which has made me bald even further. The smaller hinged lid is to access rodding points and the location of everything flowing into the sump pump location. Each slab had to have lots of metal reinforcement as the stone is so soft. The initial hinge has a jack that you can turn from the flower bed by the house. Absolutely over the moon with how invisible and how easy this is to use!
