Make sure to dry the area as much as possible. If you have a fan. Leave it there for a few days. Warm air if you have that too. Then seal.

Use silicone caulking around the edges inside and out once it's totally dry to seal your window. Should be fine.

Check weep holes first . Don’t caulk until it’s totally dried out. I would use 100% silicone but remember you can’t paint or stain over it

put up an overhang and then you can even add a slop to your collection container/system no such thing as to much water

welcome too owning a Home maintenance. It looks like a silicone will stop your water problem. Let it dry for a couple of days if you can.
