This policy is in place because a lot of parents do this simply because they want to avoid car rider line. It is also difficult to early dismiss students when dismissal procedures have already begun.

So I work in elementary school. We only have one front office person and she calls dismissal. So it messes up everyone else going home.

As an elementary secretary, pickups in the last 20-30 minutes of the school day are frustrating. So much going on and it gets very difficult to get a hold of teachers, I wish we had this rule somedays
