My trainer used to say that spurs may seem like a weapon, but in an advanced rider they become ptecise and way friendlyer then bare feet.

Spurs make a HUGE difference. When I was riding w/out spurs I was having to really use my leg on him, once his trainer hopped on w/spurs she barely had to use any leg to get him to respond

These are not weapons at all just aids to guide the way for the horse to understand as they can’t understand our language so they need things like this to help them out!
