ur fine don’t worry!! they wash the lettuce in beet juice sometimes and the ice crystalizes while washing because of the high sulfur content :)

Lettuce turns pink when it’s not kept at the right temp. So it being frozen would do that. You’ll be ok 🥹

hi! i work in produce, SWEAR every head of lettuce we get that isnt coated in plastic comes packed in ice w pink stems! its bruising from being frozen

lettuce just turns pinkish brown when it oxidizes like when u leave a cut apple out its fine. and the ice means it was just very cold in the fridge you’re ok

i work in fast food, the lettuce turns a pink color when it’s expiring. you should be fine though, might have the runs

you're in the clear with salad, but stay away from airport grilled cheeses... that's how you throw up on the flight. (from experience)

lettuce actually changes color for a lot of reasons!! some say it “bleeds” bc if you cut the heart it turns a dark pink. plus temp can change it too
