You just answered the question I get asked all the time. People think it’s just math and adding the breakers together! Thanks bro love the content!!💯

I’m new to electrical work. I do minor electrical stuff doing pool work with the control boards and pumps. This actually helped a lot. Appreciate you explaining it to the non arrogant!

I'm guessing the original comment was thinking everyone just turns everything on in there house at one time pull max power from all the outlets?

Yeap, this is true. Even a package unit may carry a 60amp breaker; but pretty much using 35-45 amp with aux heat off

Thank you! Exactly what I said! Thanks for actually metering the service conductors to prove the amps being used on the different legs.

For load calculation you need to explain the continuous load and non continuous load

Very funny. Some people can add, but a proper load calculation requires "percent," probably over their head.

There’s 200 amps on each leg of the panel, people think it’s 200 total

Load calc is just to confirm your not gonna cause the main breaker to trip

Hell, my garage sub panel is a 240 running off a 50amp breaker from the main. Air compressor, heat/ air fridge no issues

A lot of Home Inspectors don’t understand this concept. Have gotten calls from several friends after an inspection from a guy like ole Warren here.
