@misteramazingofficial: Habermas's theory has been critiqued and expanded by Nancy Fraser and others for being to charitable to the origins of capitalism. Although has expanded Habermas's account to "counterpublics" with greater critical purchase than the bourgeois public sphere, the point about art remains the same. Artistic movements have time and again been focal points of countercultural self-consciousness - labor songs of the 1890s to the 1920s and Beat generation poetry and music in the 1960s come to mind. Queer and black art today serves a similar role in challenging prevailing, comfortable forms of self-understanding. Again, these memes are by no means as political. However, some work could be done speculating on what this form of "seasonal" self-understanding means. Let me know if that interests you! #greenscreen #greenscreenvideo #season2 #relatable #theory #philosophy #commentary #2024 @Zaire Brown
