@landtoursgh: Happy Vodun Days! Every year on January 10th, locals in Benin celebrate the festival in honor of the deities of Voodoo, a religion that originated in the Dahomey kingdom, present-day Benin. Voodoo, known locally as Vodoun, is an indigenous religion that worships natural spirits and reveres ancestors. It is still widely practiced across Benin, especially in the coastal town of Ouidah. The festival is truly a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture and spirituality of Vodun, with events such as the Hounvè dance, Zangbétos and Egungun processions, and performances from featuring renowned artists.
