@bitesbyany: Huge shoutout to all the southeast Asian foodies and TikTokers who showed us how to open this jackfruit because we’ve been opening it incorrectly for a long time. The first time I opened jackfruit, I did not know they were sap in the middle of the jackfruit, and it was a huge mess, the knife, the cutting board—it was bad. I almost threw them away until I rubbed it with oil and took all the sap off. And then after a while, I realize I’m just gonna cut it from the outside and grab flesh as I cut and that was OK. I didn’t get any sap all over my tools, but it was such a painstaking task. But now with this method, it is much easier to take the flesh out and so much faster too! Easy to clean the knife and wrap the trash up and throw away. Anyway, we love tropical fruits and are always trying to figure iut the best ways to cut/prepare them.
