I disagree. I have cheap clothes for everyday I wash on heavy duty cycle + expensive for the special occasions with its needs for delicate wash. Even classic clothes we can tell if it 10 years old! 😏

Tbf I’ve had cheap clothes I’ve held onto for YEARS & expensive ones that got ruined after a wash :/ I think there’s a better way of framing this

Urban outfitters is fast fashion?(I don’t shop there but I just bought my first shirt from there thinking that it would last a long time bc it’s 💸)

Absolutely true, BUT if you wash cashmere wrong, it’ll last you just 1 wear. So after buying quality items, take good care of it! Which I think most will automatically do because of the higher price.

The concept makes sense, but some affordable clothes have lasted me 6+ years & I still love them. I think this is a good idea but is not always true, & there’s no shame in shopping 4 affordable items

Keep in mind real wool can also pill! Vintage is safe because someone else has already risked the pilling before you. HOWEVER, real wool is fixable. I say this bc I have a Pennyblack coat that was

We also need to realize that fast fashion has created artificially low prices which has messed with our psychology of how much a garment should cost😩

It’s possible! I have great quality secondhand pieces. Most ppl like easy so they go for fast fashion vs slowly building a quality wardrobe.

The moment I first wore a cashmere sweater is the moment I stopped buying fast fashion. The difference was way too noticeable to go back

But the thing is poor people often can't afford that cashmere sweater in the first place. It doesn't matter if it's the cheaper option in the long run

The only problem is.... nothing is of high value or high quality anymore, items from major brands like Boss, RL, Givenchy are all worse than fast fashion now.

Cashmere has a huge environmental impact. I’d argue that the cost of a new cashmere sweater is much higher than its value.
