It could just be the cats and how they’re cared for. The dander may be the issue and not actually the cats.

I grew up with cats & then around 13 I became allergic to them. Then a couple of yrs ago,I was around a cat & had no reaction. I have a pet cat now.

This is exactly what happened to me. I had a cat allergy my whole life. I also had allergy shots until age 14. Now I’m not allergic to them 🥰

My mom is allergic but I give my cats a bath every 1-2 months. Gets all the built up dandruff and saliva out of their fur 😊

i wasnt allergic to dogs so i thought, met my husband he had a lab mix. ya i am 100% allergic, thank you allergy meds bc he has turned into a mamas boy lol

Is it possible she's allergic to something O the cats, but those cats are indoor cats, so they did not carry whatever triggered the allergy?
