I was assaulted once by an inmate when I was a CO.. I treated everyone with respect. Let’s just say when he got out, other inmates dragged his face down the chianlink fence! Respect!

I worked at max for 18 years in Idaho and I’ll be 100% honest. Most men on the inside were more solid and respectful than any other co I worked with. We’re all 1 felony away from doing time.

I’m ex CO in Oregon, I lost my wife while I was working and the staff did not care, the inmates took care of me better than my coworkers did.

The inmates in prison are people. Period. That's what I kept trying to let anybody who came on the yard after me understand. Not all inmates deserve to be people. Not all COs either.
