every Walmart should have the same policy.if you pay cash you should get cash back if it's on a card then they have to pay it back on your card.

Actually, it does state on the policy that if you used a debit or credit card the refund must go back on the card or on a gift card. I work the service desk at my local Walmart.

Refunds are usually refunded in the same form that was used at purchase. Sometimes when u use a debit card they refund in cash after 10 days.
