@dank_dame: So when I was a periop/anesthesia tech, I would watch people be extubated, and usually one of the very first things someone would say is they were nauseous! The attending anesthesia, showed me a little trick, right after extubation he puts a little alcohol swab by the patient’s nose for them to breathe in, and it cuts away all of their nausea! So when I started taking patients out for discharge. I started keeping them on me in case they got nauseous. When I became pregnant, I was extremely sick and my OB/GYN said it was OK to use that as a rescue and it really helped. If you do not have rubbing alcohol, you can use hand sanitizer in a pinch ##nausearelief##anesthesiologisthack##perioperativetech
