@plantedinthegarden: DWC is considered one of the simplest and most efficient hydroponic techniques Deep Water Culture (DWC) is a hydroponic growing method that involves suspending plant roots in a well-oxygenated nutrient solution 24/7. It’s a system that uses water efficiently and the constant oxygenation of the nutrient solution promotes healthy root development and nutrient absorption. Setting Up a Deep Water Culture System A container to hold the nutrient solution. Net pots to hold the plants and allow the roots to grow into the nutrient solution. Air Pump and Air Stone to oxygenate the nutrient solution. Clay Pebbles or Other Growing Medium to support the plants and provide stability. Nutrient Solution containing the necessary nutrients for plant growth. Grow lights help plants photosynthesize and therefore growth I’m currently using the Spider Farmer SF600 and it’s been phenomenal. Plants love it and it only consumes 72W. To save on energy further, I run my system at night times during off peak hours. For grow tent, plant stand and grow lights.
