J.Donley ❌ :
Terrible youth coaches whose only concern is winning and not teaching proper technique are partially to blame for this decision as well.

No sad. I’m 50. Played Pop Warner and now I just got ACDF surgery. 5 concussions when I was in middle and high school too.

The exNFL players I know with kids- their kids play flag when they’re young.

My son is 9 he hated flag flootball when he was 8. Once he was able to put the pads on I didn’t hear one complaint. He can’t wait for next season.

💯 My son started tackle football in 4th grade. Great experience. He’s a senior, will miss watching his “strut” on the field. Going to Notre Dame, pre-med.

As a high school football coach who had both my boys play from the age of 7 to 22, could not agree with you more. The government needs to stay out of a person’s ability to choose. Absolutely insane!

All three of my sons play(Ed) tackle. There has been so much evolution. Kids are taught better tacking techniques. Coaches are extremely aware of

I started playing tackle football in 1st grade. I remember those headaches from banging. I still wouldn’t ban it—I’d just double down on technique/fundamentals, and change up some of the drills.

Again the brain would not develop until after 12 years old as a kid who played tackle at 9 years old I’d rather wait until 13 years old love the sport but it does hurt

I will say I wish they passed a law on HOW much they can play. 3 days a week instead of 6, it’s too much

I've been coaching for 10 yrs. I couldn't agree with you more. Contact football teaches these kids so much to prepare for life. True gritt is missing in today's youth.

Scientific study suggest CTA is not even a risk till senior year/freshman year in college. Because athletes aren’t big and strong enough till then.
