@charles_dowding: 🌱June and September 2023 + results. This year’s harvest difference surprised me, the reduction in growth from forking soil, just loosening and with compost on top. That’s strip one on the left while strip 2 has the same compost and is no dig. Strip 3 is no dig and has cow manure composted, harvests in 2023 are 106kg - 126kg - 144kg respectively. Over ten years of this trial the forked bed’s harvests are 9% less than strip 2 with same compost, see graph 3rd photo. 🌱 #nodig #nodiggarden #growyourown #healthyfood #fyp #foryoupage
