I used to purchase glitter from a bake supplier they were on display right next to all the edible luster dust and had no idea they were not edible and labeled "non-toxic" until reading the fine print

I'm not a baker or anything but imo if it can't be eaten safely I don't want it on or near my food (cake) even if it can be removed, but that's just me not wanting to worry about what needa be removed
