Not sure if this is recommended but we play fetch w our dog on a tennis court & it keeps his nails v trimmed!

We needed up getting a harness that we hang from the ceiling to clip their nails. It works for my dog who will not let us took his feet

you can also get sandpaper and glue it to a board. I put my dog’s ball under it and she goes feral
