@thehillpolitics: As the nation marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, his son, Martin Luther King III reflected on what his father’s iconic speech means to him 60 years on from when it was first delivered at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. “I have heard, ‘I have a dream’ thousands of times, but I've only listened to hundreds. When I listen, I’m moved to tears. I don't care how many times I've heard it, when I'm listening is the only time that I'm impacted and I can't contain my emotions,” Martin Luther King III said during an episode of The Switch Up with The Hill’s Race and Politics Reporter Cheyanne M. Daniels. The eldest son of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King encouraged others to truly ‘listen’ to his father’s message as the fight for racial, social and economic justice continues. #mlk #martinlutherking #martinlutherkingjr #thehill #civilrightsmovement #civilrights #ihaveadream
