That sounds like a great alternative to cathing. That said, is it any better with less UTIs l? I have a friend in a wheelchair and unfortunately, she gets UTIs frequently from cathing. 🙏

My daughter Abby has an APV also. We use Coloplast compact set. There is a collection bag attached. Sooo convenient.

Something I wish I was told, don’t take antibiotics unless you’re vomiting/feverish, even if the UA is positive. (I have a mitro too and am now severely resistant to most antibiotics due to over use)

Do you know if it’s lower or higher risk of UTI than suprapubic? Is there a lot of risk as “belly buttons” have a lot of bacteria?
