There’s no pigment in blue eyes, it’s the lack of pigment that makes them blue.

they didn't lose color, they gained color. blue is lack of melanine. so any color change is the increasing of melanine production.

Eyes change color every couple years! I had bright blue eyes, then grey, now they’re bright green! Grey eyes are one of the rarest.
