The cleaning part is so true. I've bought a car, cleaned it and sold it for $1500 more. A good clean makes a difference.

Went and looked at an FPV GT recently. Thing was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned in ages, right fog light was botched really bad and he tried telling me $45,000 was a great price just cause it’s an FPV

just bought a 2007 civic from a dealership in my area, chucked it on the hoist 7 days later and both outer cv boots have been busted for a long time, had to mess around with the fuses to get 3/4

Sometimes if a car is too clean that's a red flag, especially if they have sprayed that armor all crap everywhere and in the engine bay. They could be hiding something, it happened to me.
