I kinda have to disagree Tyler Perry puts out more products to consume. He has plays, movies, Tv shows etc. Spike Lee puts out one movie every 3-4

I hated the Why Did I Get Married? movies. Gaslighting, bitter baby mama roles, Trauma being fetishized and No resolved issues. TP did damage on Cinema for awhile and added salt on wounds
