@imvictorialawson: The healing we need is usually more spiritual than physical. I need God to heal my heart from its constant worrying or selfish tendencies. I need God to cleanse my heart to become less focused on this world and more about the next. God’s Word instructs believers to “confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16). A few years ago I became very intentional about sharing my sin struggles with a few girls in my church, so they can keep me accountable but also so they can pray for me! As I’m praying to God for Him to spiritually heal my heart in this area, my friends who are “righteous” not because of themselves but because of Jesus in them, are also praying for me🫶🏼🙈 I have been able to witness in the last few years how confessing sin to each other so we can bring sin to the light and pray about it is so healing & powerful 🫶🏼 Not only has it brought healing to myself, but for those I’m sharing to as well. Courage is contagious, and being willing to share about our own failings can inspire others to also take that step of seeking healing from sin.
