Interesting article. It wasn't spoken about when I was a teenager in the 1970s and belts were commonplace. My mom never spoke to me about periods!

I used to use Dr White’s Sanitary towels with a belt. They were really uncomfortable and used to rub like mad and chafe. Horrible things.

When I started senior school in 1975 the belt with cotton wool brick and safety pins were what was available to you if you went to the school nurse!!
