The Dabbah is briefly mentioned in Surah An-Naml (27:82): "And when the Word is fulfilled against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, that mankind did not believe with certainty in Our signs." 🔍 Interpretation and Beliefs What is the Dabbah? The Dabbah is understood to be a living creature that will emerge from the Earth in the end times. Its purpose is to speak to people and mark them based on their faith — distinguishing believers from disbelievers. Purpose and Role: It will address people directly. Some traditions say it will mark the forehead of every person — believer or disbeliever — possibly with a shining or dark mark. It is a divine sign meant to prove the truth of Islam to those who denied it. 🕋 In Islamic Eschatology (End Times) The Dabbah is one of the major signs before the Day of Judgment, along with: The appearance of the Mahdi The return of Isa (Jesus) The emergence of Dajjal (Antichrist) The rising of the Sun from the West Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) 🐾 Description of the Beast There is no clear physical description in the Qur'an, and Hadith descriptions vary. Scholars and early commentators sometimes imagined the Dabbah as: A strange, composite creature (parts from different animals) Having the staff of Moses and the ring of Solomon A creature that speaks clearly and wisely Some scholars say it should be taken metaphorically, while others insist it is a real, physical creature. ✅ Summary The Dabbah is a beast that will appear near the end of time.
