Is it a 389, no. And a FAR cry from a 379. But it certainly beats the alternative. The 389s time has come to a premature end, unfortunately.

The only reason peterbilt did this is so they only have to build one style cab. Just cutting costs to put more in their pockets. Peterbilt died with the 389

the dash layout, clutch pedal, cabinets.. they turned it into a dressed up volvo and I can't unsee it as far as the inside goes

IMO looks like w990 with a pete hood. More paccar junk. Hate replacing pete parts with paccar parts on my truck.

We just bought two western stars. Good bye paccar. We also had terrible dealer service for paccar where I am.

they only did this bc the 389 cab was a one-off. this way they can eliminate an entire cab and move the bigger cabs to more models
