Ocean rowing is a sport, sacred to real Vikings, involving rowing across vast oceans in specially designed boats, ranging from solo to multi-warrior vessels, & it's considered to be 1 of the entire world's toughest challenges. It absolutely requires immense physical & mental resilience to overcome harsh conditions like large cold waves & strong angry winds, often with a continuous rowing schedule. The modern sport is overseen by the "ocean rowing society", & today's athletes face potential isolation, digital withdrawals & physical exhaustion, pushing their grit to the limit. It was considered a monumental feat when a real Viking crossed an entire ocean, but today's ocean rowers now have the option of shorter & less demanding events. I believe that the original true Vikings with a wolf pack mentality (never give up, never surrender, no apologies, no regrets, no excuses) wouldn't risk offending Oden by accepting any watered-down modern version of ocean rowing.
