when I became my daughters mom, I got 14 months leave. adoption is so complex, we need as much time as any other family with a new baby😭 especially a preemie

I worked for a company that expected me to come back to work to close after I picked up my (adopted) daughter and denied me anytime off.

as an adoptive parent an employer will say to my face how amazing it is that I adopted then expect me to not need time off for holidays and some of the other allowances bio parents get
