Pleat (sew) the curtain the middle in different sections and then alter the plastic.

I only buy the brand “Hookless”. It’s fabric with a fabric liner and plastic eyelets built in so no hooks. And the whole thing is WASHABLE ❤️

fold the linder outward toward the outer curtain, then fold the outer curtain in. that way mold won't grow
